Every child is different ...

Do you worry at times about your child’s development? Does your child’s behaviour seem different from other children? Or do you have a hunch that something’s not quite right, but just can’t pinpoint it? Perhaps your child behaves differently to other children.

As a parent or carer you are often the best person to pick up on early signs that need further investigation. This website focuses on how allied health professionals  help assess, diagnose and treat autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and explains the steps you can take to access their services.

If you are worried about your child’s behaviour it is important to take these steps. It may reassure you that there is nothing to worry about or it may lead to a diagnosis that provides a basis for early intervention or treatment. Early intervention is proven to be very effective in helping children develop.
